| ISO 9001:2008 / AS9100 B: Certification Date is Set |
In April 2009, Advanced Machine, along with Calico Coatings of Denver, NC, was awarded an Incumbent Workforce Development Program grant for $25,000 to be used specifically for ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100 training. This award is the result of a collaborative effort by both companies to work toward and achieve the goal of ISO certification for the purpose of growth and committment to our community.
We have now completed our training and set the date for our Third Party Audit in mid-October 2010. The next several months will be spent getting our house in order and making sure we are doing all that we say we can do. Be sure to check back!
ISO training is conducted by Bill Cardin, of Cardin Quality Training Associates, Inc. Bill has more than 25 years of experience in quality control, engineering and manufacturing and has presented quality management training, lean manufacturing and process improvement courses for many businesses, government and educational institutions. We also want to thank Vail Carter of the Centralina Workforce Development Board and Diane Metcalfe, Director of Corporate Education at Gaston College, for their instrumental help and guidance in the grant application process.
