Advanced Machine & Fabrication, Inc. is pleased to announce that as of September 29, 2011, the quality management system governing the manufacturing of products at our facility was recommended to be upgraded to AS 9100 Rev C certification. We are also pleased to say the third party auditor did not issue any nonconformities on our system.
AS 9100 is the quality standard designed to meet the stringent, complex and unique demands of the aerospace industry. The standard supplements ISO 9001 by addressing the additional expectations of that industry. The industry experts who wrote the standard and the representatives who approved it all agree that these additions are essential to ensure product, process and service safety and quality. The International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) released AS9100 Rev C in January of 2009, and with it the Standard broadened it's scope to include defense.
